They say “April showers bring May flowers”. Well we had plenty of rain, and some snow and hail as well, so May should be perfect for Wisconsin standards. In April I have seen great progress as a brotherhood dealing with the pandemic. I had the opportunity to participate in the first Master Mason degree to be done in the entire state for that past year. It showed me how much brothers come together to help one another to make things happen and to be safe as well, I have high hopes the Grand Master will soon allow us to open and conduct degrees in the Master Mason degrees. And I hope that means the supporting bodies opening up as well, it has been almost two years since I got to participate in a Scottish Rite degree. At home my son is two months old now and he has grown like a weed and I have learned so much. When I am not changing diapers or dealing with a screaming child, I often wonder what kind of father I will be as he gets older, what lessons he will learn from me and what bad habits get inherited from me. One thing I learned for sure is time is important; since Jesse was born I have been busy with work, the baby and finding time for my Masonic brothers. I know it is chaotic now but I know it will be better soon and in the future I will look back and wonder where the time went. Cherish every moment, good, bad or stressful. Each moment is a treasure even if you don’t think so at the moment.
