Brothers, I am honored and humbled to have been elected your WM for this year.  My deepest thanks go out to everyone who helped make our Installation a success, especially the Installing Team, Roger for the cake, Jason Tidd for his help in setting tables and washing dishes, Jeff Treager for removing the chairs during the installation and last but not least, my wife and daughter Barb and Krista Maguire for preparing dinner.  I hope all who attended enjoyed the evening.

Have you made any New Year’s resolutions this year?  Here’s a specific, practical application for a Masonic New Year’s resolution—one you can do that will only take one extra evening of your year–resolve to come to Lodge one more time this year than you did last year.  If you don’t remember the passwords, just bring your current dues card and you’ll get in.  If you don’t know anybody here, that’s ok, we treat all Brothers like….like, well, Brothers.  If you live far from Wausau, there’s probably a Lodge near you that would be glad to see you.  If you need a ride let us know and we’ll have someone come pick you up.  If you really can’t come to Lodge, let us know and a Brother might just come to visit you.  In short, we’d really like to see you more often this year.  Our officer line is a good blend of experience and youthful energy.  We’ll have a good combination of fun, ritual, Masonic education and charity this year.  At the January stated meeting we’ll call down to EA as soon as we finish the business that must be done in the MM degree so that the EAs and FCs who want to can take part.

I’d like to thank my Brother and friend Jim Bitner for leaving the Lodge in such good condition for me to begin my term.  See you in Lodge!  Peace and harmony,
