Brothers All
OK, June is over but there’s plenty of summer left to have fun and fellowship with your Masonic brothers! A few of us just got back from an EA degree in Rhinelander. DDGM Joe Barlow conferred the degree and Mosinee lodge was also represented along with a sitting WM from a lodge in Ontario. The degree was very well done and the root beer floats afterwards were welcome in the heat. Forest Lodge delivered the traveling gavel to our Rhinelander brothers.
Barb and I are delving into some operative masonry this summer, building a stone retaining wall in our back yard. I may be Master of a speculative Lodge, but I am an EA, a bearer of burdens, in this project. Barb has a firm grip on the Trestleboard.
Please join us for some or all of the events on the calendar below. There should be something for everyone, and, we look forward to seeing each of you at one or more of the events. With the exception of the Lodge meetings and degrees, all events are open to Masons of any degree, family, widows, and friends. Have a great summer and we’ll see you soon!

Forest Lodge No. 130, F & A.M.
July 11 — Lodge meeting (not a stated meeting), 6:30 PM (not 7:00)
July 14 — Corn roast fundraiser for charity, at the Lodge, setup 8:00 AM
July 25 — Concert on the Square (Copper Box performing), 6:00 PM
Aug 1 — MM Degree, 6:30 PM for Ryan Buckley
Aug 11 — Wausau Symphony Concert in the Clouds. Rib Mountain State Park, 6:00 PM, park sticker required. Come early, this event is always well attended.
Aug 15 — Lodge Family picnic, 6:00 PM at Oak Island. Lodge will provide meat, buns, drinks, paper plates and plasticware. Please bring a dish to pass—salad, vegetable or dessert.
Sept 5 — Stated Meeting. Wild and Wacky tie Night—wear your wildest wacky tie and we’ll have a contest to see whose is the “best.”
Sept 8 — Combined District 3 and 6 meeting, 8:30 AM to noon, at Forest Lodge. Lunch afterwards $10 per person.
Mosinee Lodge No. 318, F & A.M.
Mosinee Lodge # 318 will resume labor on September 1, at 7:00 PM with a Stated Meeting and Reobligation Night.
Wisconsin Valley Shrine Club
Wisconsin Valley Shrine Club meets every Friday for a noon luncheon at the Wausau Elks Club.
Wausau York Rite
The York Rite Grand Session will be held in Green Bay June 13, 14, and 15.
Scottish Rite Club
Meets for breakfast at 7:00 AM 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesdays at Perkins.
Wisconsin Valley Shrine Auxiliary
The Wisconsin Valley Shrine Auxiliary will not meet in June through August. Our meetings will resume on Friday, September 14th at noon at the Elks Club.
Wisconsin Valley Auxiliary will be having a fundraiser at Noodles & Company on Wednesday, July 18,2012, from 4:00 p.m. -9:00 p.m.. The restaurant is located in a complex at the corner of 18th Avenue & Stewart Avenue –turn in at the Digi Copy entrance. 10% of all sales will be given to the wheelchair fund at the Shriners Hospital for Children, TwinCities. You will order and pay at the counter and the food will be delivered to your table.
