Wausau Trestleboard
October 2013
At the age of 20, Benjamin Franklin developed and committed himself to a personal improvement program that consisted of 13 virtues. Franklin focused on one primary virtue a week, and at the end of each day, he analyzed his conduct and kept a record of his progress.
It has been said that Franklin admitted his quest to perfection was unattainable, but his devotion to the virtues, no doubt, was a guiding force in his life.
Our Craft is filled with tenants, virtues and lessons. I encourage you to take inspiration from Brother Franklin, who made it his life’s ambition to live the words, not just recite them.
Fraternally
Jim
