My brothers,
April is upon us and yet there is still snow on the ground. There are a number of events to take note of for this month.
First, on April 2, 2014 at our regular stated communication we will have a Wild West night where the brothers are asked to wear their favorite Western wear or cowboy wear. I will even dispense with the rule against wearing head coverings by the brothers so that you may wear cowboy hats if you wish. We will also take the opportunity to invite members of the Wausauken Indians Shrine unit to attend and promote the Wausauken Indian’s Potentate’s party scheduled for April 26, 2014. The potentate’s party is an excellent opportunity to learn more about Shrinedom and share fellowship with those brothers who have joined this Masonic organization.
The Scottish Rite Spring reunion is being held on April 5 and May 3rd with members of Forest Lodge participating in many of the degrees. This is another terrific event by another Masonic fraternity that many of the brother’s from your Lodge participate in and I encourage you to attend if you are a member and consider joining if you are not yet a member.
Additionally there is the Feast of the Pascal Lamb, which is scheduled for April 13, 2014 at the Wausau Masonic Center. There is additional information in this bulletin and I encourage the brothers to participate in this event as well.
Finally, I think that Forest Lodge usually does highway cleanup on our stretch of County Highway N in April but this year, given the snow depth I believe that we should wait until May.

Feast of the Paschal Lamb
Valley of Eau Claire Scottish Rite Masons will present “The Feast of the Paschal Lamb” recognizing Scottish Rite Masons who have passed away in 2013. The program will be presented at the Wausau Masonic Center on Sunday, April 13, 2014 beginning at 3:00 PM. All Masons, their ladies, and widows of Masons are welcome to attend.
Wisconsin Valley Shrine Club
Wisconsin Valley Shrine Club meets every Friday for a noon luncheon at the Wausau Elks Club.
Wausau York Rite
April 15th — 7:00 PM. Stated Commandery.
April 10th — 7:00 PM. Stated Meeting, Chapter and Council.
Scottish Rite Club
Meets for breakfast at 7:00 AM 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesdays at Perkins.
Wisconsin Valley Shrine Auxiliary
On Friday, April 11, 2014 the Wisconsin Valley Shriners Auxiliary will meet for a noon luncheon and meeting at the Elks Club. The program for April will be presented by Kathleen Marquardt. Her topic and display will be about buttons.
