We are now winding it down for 2019. It’s been an eventful year and a fun one to sit in the East for. I would like to thank all the support from the Brothers these past 12 months and want to congratulate WM elect Brother Kevin Sorenson and the rest of the elected/appointed officers for their new posts coming in 2020. I look forward to sitting on the sidelines and letting Past Master syndrome set in. I’ll say it now Kevin….”that’s not how I did when I was Master!”
This is my absolute favorite time of the year, Christmas time. Clark Griswold looks like the Grinch compared to my holiday spirit. Of course two of our tenets are highlighted this time of year, Faith and Charity. It’s a season of giving and spiritual reflection for many. For my little barnacles however it’s a time for Santa and presents. Frankie was telling me how he NEEDED the new iPhone 63 or whatever it is now. Being the rock-solid father I am, I said there was a huge difference between want and need. “Golly dad, what’s the difference?” he queried. I replied “I can sum it up in 1 word Frank–Cannibalism.” At this point, an uneasy wife figured she ought to immediately step in to mediate and already regretting having to ask “Huh?” I said “Simple.” The Donners and Dahmer. One was a clear need and the other a want.” My bruised arm is starting to heal a bit but Frankie’s starting to eye up his little brother a little weird now. Hopefully this sage advice will stick with them so they won’t have to be molly-coddled when I kick them out of the house at 15. Anyway, I want to wish you all a prosperous new year. I’m excited for Wausau area Masonry in 2020. Now to change the bulbs in my sweaters. Merry Christmas and one last time….THANK YOU!

December 11th — 7:00PM — Stated Meeting – Year in Review
December 18th — 6.30 P.M — Special Communication – Installation of Officers. Dress tuxedo or dark suits. – RSVP’s to Brother Sorenson (715 581 0553) by December 11 for catered meal required. Meal will be catered at the Lodge. *Note, the printed/downloadable Trestleboard is INCORRECT on dinner location.

Wisconsin Valley Shrine Club
Our next meeting will be December 13, 2019 at Papillions from 11:30 – 1:30. We will announce the vote on our 2020 meeting location. Several of our members will also be participating at Breakfast with Santa and the Elf Shelf on November 30, 2019. At our meeting we look forward to enjoy some laughs and good conservation during the Christmas holiday.
