Greetings from the East, Brethren!
I hope that all of you have made it through a hectic holiday season. I would like to
thank all of you for placing your trust in me as I serve you and the Lodge by sitting in
the East. I would also like to thank the Brothers who have been elected to and were
willing to be appointed to their respective offices for the ensuing Masonic year. It is
a privilege and an honor to be guiding the Lodge. I hope that I will be able to follow
in the shining example of our immediate Past Master Rick Schnabel and growing the
illustrious past of Forest Lodge #130. Thank you, Rick, for setting a high bar. I can
only hope to come close to what you have shown me what sitting in the East is all
about.
We started off the year with our Installation of Officers and I’m pleased to say that it was a great success. I would also like to thank Doug Framness, Past Master of Marshfield Lodge #224, and Jake Seever, District #3’s Deputy Grand Master. Both of your contributions as installing officers were very much appreciated by me and the rest of the brethren and guests that were in attendance. I would also like to thank everyone who was in attendance for being flexible with the event needing to be rescheduled.
I am hoping that our year will be a successful one. I shared my ideas for what I will hope to accomplish as a lodge at our meeting on January 25th. It will be a pleasure seeing those ideas added to the traditions and culture that has been established here in years past. The growth of our fraternity continued with two petitions being read at our first meeting on January 11th with votes happening on January 25th. Keep a lookout for men who will make good Masons! It will not only add to numbers, but will enrich our Lodge with
talents and perspectives that they will bring.
If you haven’t been to Lodge in some time we would love to see you there! It is a good group and a growing group that exhibit the tenants of our profession: Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth.
See you at Lodge!
Sincerely and Fraternally,
Lars Framness
Worshipful Master, Forest Lodge #130
