Wow, that went by fast! My term as Worshipful Master, I mean. We accomplished a lot together this year. Ten degree conferrals, 2 of which were MMs, not counting the ones we did for other Lodges or provided major assistance for. A serious start on what should be the first major update of our by-laws in 80 years. Highway cleanup. Family picnic. Appendant Bodies Night. Masonic Education. Major participation in two district schools of instruction. A night at Concerts on the Square. Great food from our Stewards. A new fund-raising event. And our immediate Past District Deputy commented that we are the youngest Lodge, by age of active participants, in the District. In addition, we are seen as the go-to Lodge in our District and beyond for providing assistance when other Lodges need help conferring degrees. What was the best part? These things weren’t accomplished by me as the WM, or by a few individuals. We did these things, as we should, by group effort, by everyone contributing their own talents and expertise. So many of you took the initiative to start new things and just generally do what needed to be done. And for that, I thank you. Oh, there’s more to do, surely, and you’ll be seeing new ideas from your new WM, Jim Carlson. Bro. Jim is taking over an active Lodge that will continue to be a force for good in the Wausau area community. Thank you, all of you, for your help and support in 2012 and for being a Lodge I am proud to serve.

Dec 12th — 6:00 PM Open Installation of Officers, 6:00 PM at the Wausau Masonic Center. This will be a combined installation with Mosinee Lodge. Diner at City Grill to follow.
Mosinee Lodge No. 318, F & A.M.
Dec 1st — Stated Meeting. Turn Back Time to the 1950’s
Dec 12th — 6:00 PM Open Installation of Officers, 6:00 PM at the Wausau Masonic Center. This will be a combined installation with Forest Lodge. Diner at City Grill to follow.
Dec 17th — 6:00 PM. Pot Luck Dinner. Mason of the Year & Christmas Party. Ladies, families and friends welcome.
Virginia Falls Lodge No. 226, F & A.M.
Virgina Falls Lodge 226, will be Collecting Non-Perishable Items through April 1, 2013.
Dec 11th — 7 PM Stated
Wisconsin Valley Shrine Club
Wisconsin Valley Shrine Club meets every Friday for a noon luncheon at the Wausau Elks Club.
Wausau York Rite
Dec 13th — St. Omer Commandery will attend the Marinette Commandery No. 26 Christmas Program in Marinette on December 13, 2012. Those wanting to car pool will meet at the Wausau Masonic Center at 5:00 PM. Inquiries may be directed to Past Commander Tony Fondell at 715-551-4489.
Scottish Rite Club
Meets for breakfast at 7:00 AM 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesdays at Perkins.
Wisconsin Valley Shrine Auxiliary
Wisconsin Valley Shrine Auxiliary will meet Friday, December 14th for a noon luncheon and meeting at the Elks Club. The program will be presented by Bill Storm, a Merrill resident, who will entertain us in song. He will sing familiar Christmas carols and invite us to ‘sing along’.
