Which degree is your favorite? That is a hard question! I love the EA because we are introducing a man to the mysteries of Masonry. It is the simplest of the degrees, but to the candidate, it is a swirl of new things, ideas, and thoughts. The FC, with the Staircase and Middle Chamber lectures, will always have a special place in my heart. In my FC degree, these lectures were given to me by a brother named Tim Quinn, PM. Bro. Tim is an AM radio morning show host. His voice boomed through the lodge as all things on the staircase were explained to me. The MM degree, with the allegory of GM H. A., should be a lesson for us all. It is also fun for us to put on. Who doesn’t enjoy the surprises given the candidate, and more importantly the lessons taught by those surprises? So maybe the answer is ALL.
But the more important questions are, what do you enjoy about the degrees? Are we doing it for the candidate alone, or for all of us in the lodge room?

Wisconsin Valley Shrine Club meets every Friday for a noon luncheon at the Wausau Elks Club.
Wausau York Rite
March 12th — 7:00 PM. Stated Commandery.
March 17th — 7:00 PM. Stated Meeting, Chapter and Council.
Scottish Rite Club
Meets for breakfast at 7:00 AM 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesdays at Perkins.
Wisconsin Valley Shrine Auxiliary
The Wisconsin Valley Auxiliary will be meeting on Friday, March 13, 2015 at The Palms. Lunch will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the meeting at noon. The program for March will be presented by Lori Schubring of Wild Birds Unlimited with information on the feeding and care of wild birds.
