January was an interesting month. We saw rain, snow, ice, warmer than usual temperatures and a bitter cold streak. As Wisconsin residents, we have grown accustomed to being prepared for the weather, no matter what Mother Nature brings us.
In many ways, life is a lot like January. Every day we have different challenges, our lives have amazingly incredible moments that are contrasted by extremely difficult times. In each of these events, we are presented with opportunities to reflect on the tenets of Freemasonry and the teachings of our Holy Writings. We have the ability to reach out to Brethren and loved ones for advice and and to return the favor when we can assist.
As many of you are aware, Education is a major part of this year’s plan. Understanding the beauty of our rituals and exploring Masonic teachings not only bring us new perspective and knowledge, but serve to remind us of the foundations of our degrees. These foundations and fellowship no doubt help us not only prepare ourselves for what life brings us, but allow us to help others in their time of need.

Wisconsin Valley Shrine Club meets every Friday for a noon luncheon at the Wausau Elks Club.

Feb 19th — 7:00 PM. Stated Meeting, Chapter and Council
Scottish Rite Club
Meets for breakfast at 7:00 AM 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesdays at Perkins.
Wisconsin Valley Shrine Auxiliary
On February 8, 2013 the Wisconsin Valley Shrine Auxiliary will meet for a noon luncheon and meeting at the Elks Club. The program for February will be presented by Jody Krieg and Christy Powell from Wausau East High School regarding Kids in Poverty/Day of Compassion.
